Audio this time. A beautiful story that I'm glad was shared. It is good to know that even in the darkest times we can choose to do good.

I'm not a WWII buff, or an airplane or pilot buff, but this book was great. I loved the honor among the pilots, and the way the two main characters lived their lives.

Fascinating tale of the air theater over WWII. Writing seemed simplistic at first but the story drew me in.

Amazing book. It focuses on a German WWII pilot, which I wasn't sure I'd want to read about, but it showed a different side of the German soldiers than I had thought. I usually don't post reviews, but I don't think I could recommend a book more than this one.
Don't often get to read a true tale of brave and honorable men, but this shows the Human spirit does exist, even in war.

This is an amazing book. At some points in it I cried for joy. Franz and Charlie’s story is so amazing it’s hard to believe it’s true. Such a happily ever after only happens in fairytales, right?
