I would grab this book if you're in need of a strong relationship connection between characters. Yes I have issues, and the animalistic desire, drive, want (whatever you want to call it) the main character's had in the book was much needed for me at the moment. I can see why many wouldn't rave about the book, it's not leave you reflecting back. It was a comfort read for me and that probably reflects a lot in the star rating take that as you wish. Also, very very spicy and cover not discreet so a read while alone book!

I really enjoyed this one. Probably my 2nd favourite full length novel in the series (2nd to Shielded Heart.)
Shay is a badass and Drakkal is a giant doofus but absolutely smitten with her.
One of Tiffany Roberts greatest writing strengths is the banter within a found family setting and this book has so much of that.
There is a while in the middle where i feel like not a lot happened, but I found myself not minding because the characters were so fun to be around.

I was looking forward to reading Drakkal's story. I love his character. Shay was a bad@$$ with her skills and toughness. I just wished she gave in to Drakkal sooner.
There's a lot of action and tense scenes throughout the book. It's pretty long and almost felt like two books with the surprise villain that didn't appear until about half way through the book.
The highlights of these books have been the slice of life scenes and the bantering between the found family.
The main things that were issues for me were things related to after the baby came, and it's mostly for personal reasons since my experience was very different after giving birth. I know everyone's experience is different, so take this with a grain of salt, but a baby is very demanding with sleepless nights, especially when breastfeeding. I just felt like it would have been nice to see the exhaustion and anxiety that a new mother can feel be represented a little more.
