It took everything I had to finish this book.  The characters are almost as dull and flat as the dialog.  Seriously the dialog sounds like something the AI would spit out, not how anybody actually talks.

Is Callan the perfect man or what? 🫠
Callan needs to be a book boyfriend! 😌

I read this in one sitting. The first 10 chapters or so were a bit slow which wasn't the best to keep my full attention but at the same time I understand why we get so much background before Callan & Lilian meet and all that.

Lilian has a rough life to say the least. She keeps being ignored by everyone and I mean EVERYONE she knows which blew my mind to be honest. There was no one in her life that cared if she even lived or not. The parents and siblings are a nightmare, not in the physical sense but emotionally and psychologically. It has been a hot minute since I read parents like these two... Safe to say, I hated them from the very beginning. Even her so-called friends did the same as her parents. She never had anyone that extended a hand to her and gave her decency, respect and love but Callan entered her life and changed all of that. It was somewhat rewarding seeing Lily become the type of person that finally had enough of anyone and stand up for herself. This happened not because Callan did something but because he was simply a decent person and treated her like she mattered.

Callan is a CEO of an male escort company where the mission is to accompany women to various events and such and nothing more which is a cool idea imo. He seems like a perfect man. When he has a partner, he gives her his all. He gives her woman his full attention and tends to all of her needs. He is very upfront with what he wants and needs and he isn't shy about talking about his feelings. He also has an amazing family and friends.

I absolutely loved Callan and Lily together. They were each other's half. They were meant to meet when they did.

The third act break up was something. I was expecting it, kinda. What I appreciated about it was the fact that Lilian didn't stand down like I thought she would. I was expecting her to do nothing about Callan because of the way her world came crashing down on her and then in the same breath Callan goes away for business... Thank god my expectations were wrong. She proved me wrong by not taking any of it and went to face everyone that did her wrong, including Callan, and put everything on the table. I completely understand Callan in this situation and unfortunately outside forces were conspiring against them but Lilian pushed through and in the end she got what she needed/wanted, much like Callan did.

I absolutely loved the story, Callan and Lilian!

This book really started out well but then swiftly went downhill. I just felt so bad for the FMC. She had no friends and her family was terrible. Like her family was almost over the top mean. IDK it felt like the author was trying so hard to show how forgettable the FMC is. and the MMC was honestly too much. the ending was sooo dumb too.
