This is fast becoming my favourite sci-fi subgenre; Hard Sci-Fi croseed with Emotions. And likeable characters. It starts with humble beginning, crosses the stars and even leaves space itself. 
Things certainly start to wobble for the first half of the last quarter, but the rest of the book was so amazing that I can't mark it less that 5 stars.

This book is so weird and I love it so much. 

It was great to learn about the Presger Translators. I didn't feel the ending held up to how cool the rest of the book was.

Different flavor than the Imperial Radch Trilogy and it can be off putting for that reason if that's what you expect go in.
Three different narrator's prioritizing three different things and despite being 30ish-60ish all precious babies.
Cannibalism, gender, identity, coming of age whenever the fuck you can, and violently insisting on independence from the systems and things that break us.
