blackberryjambaby's review against another edition
slow-paced
she starts the book so bizarrely racist it actually took my breath away. typical white woman's view of the 'exotic' pacific. she then makes claim to childhood alcoholism while living in japan, where she says she was born. she wasn't born in japan & in fact only lived there between the ages of 2 & 5, so. not sure i believe her about the rest of it.
