lovely short story by baldwin on the complexities of relationships between brothers and family trauma and racism. the most warming short story i’ve read from him so far

the music seemed to soothe a poison out of them; and time seemed, nearly, to fall away from the sullen, belligerent, battered faces

This was quite frankly a good book…. not great but also not bad. I personally did not really resonate with the story, so I was not really into it as much as I wanted to. It is a short read but the author conveys the story in a good way. so I give it about a 3.5/5 stars!

یکی از پسرهای محله هارلم
یکی از آنهای که با شتاب داشتند بزرگ میشدند و سرهاشان یک مرتبه به سقف کوتاه امکانات حقیقی شان اصابت میکرد.

روایتی تاثیرگذار و زیبا با قلمی گیرا، من هم مانند برادر سانی احساس کردم اگر شرایط بگونه دیگری بود مثل بچه ها زیر گریه میزدم.
