A beautiful, short and sweet graphic novel about a young adult who can see ghosts, and who has fallen in love with one of those ghosts. It celebrates queer love with a side of dark ornery humor and light fluff. The artwork was stunning and worthy of being compared to Ghibli studio style. Definitely a  comforting reread to return to time and time again.

First off I'd just like to say that this was so cute!!

The art is just perfect and I now ship Blue and Hamal. Forever. They're so sweet.

Not only did I have a great time reading this, but I learned a few facts about plants (which I love) as well. Trying to be critical I thought back to try and find out what I didn't like and that would be the fact that there wasn't more to the reaper's reason behind what he did. Still it's a sweet story with an even sweeter ending. I want to buy this for my graphic novel collection.

Keeping this short because it's almost 3 AM, I need to sleep, and have to wake up early 😭😂 But omg this was so cute?? A bite-sized queer paranormal read that's equally funny and atmospheric!

I wanted to really love this. I thought the art was beautiful and the relationship between Blue and Hamal was really sweet. Where it fell flat for me is the storyline  the way it was put together felt like I should already know about the world and what the characters are dealing with.. and it’s a standalone story. I read it once  thought about it and gave it a second chance the next day to see if I’d better understand it.  I did enjoy the overall feeling the story gave me, I just felt like I didn’t understand where the story was going. It is their first graphic novel, so if they have other books published I would be curious to read their later works.

Thanks to Netgalley for this arc in exchange of an honest review!

I really liked this, it was sweet, fast and easy to read. I loved the simple yet beautiful art and the color palette.

I love plants and flowers so seeing a gardener working was a delight. I loved Blue and Hamal, they were cute and adorable.

The parts about death and live and how they are portrayed with nature is perfect, I love this idea and circle of life.

It was a fun read.
