I enjoyed her book probably because she seems like someone I could be friends with and... Go to dinner with .... And go on vacation with... In between her going off to shoot movies and do press... Lol

I enjoyed this book. I thought it was a solid memoir and an interesting story she told.

I think this is between 2.5 to 3 stars for me. As many other reviews say, much of this book feels fragmented and a bit disorienting, as there are various aspects not told in a linear fashion. I really didn't know much about Kerry Washington prior to reading this book, and I'm not sure I know that much more about her after reading it. I felt as though she kept her audience at a distance. Nothing felt fully explored (Ex: she mentions drugs, alcohol, relationships, but never really talks about any of them)...though there were moments that were certainly profound, and I'm still glad I stuck with this book and finished it.
