Ok

While liked the overall story a lot the pace was just WAY too fast for me. I feel like everything happened so quickly I had a hard time really feeling their relationship.

I enjoyed this story. As it had a bit of everything. It was sweet, sexy, engaging and even a little sad. Especially during those last few chapters. The two main characters Emerson and Hunter were also very likable and shared a spark. And I really liked how they met and the banter between them. Although I did think the relationship between them was a little rushed, yet I was still drawn into it and it was easy to read. Plus the minor characters including Hunters niece and nephew Lucy and Brent and best friend Tanner were all likable. And added to the overall story. Which I would happily recommend to others.

I love how Down & Dirty started with a Murphy's law morning for Emerson. As she prepares for her first day at her new job, her car won't start, she gets an Uber driver going well too slow, and tops it off by being splashed by a puddle, leaving her drenched, all before making it in the door!

While I am typically not a fan of instalove, this one was on overdrive in their realization about their feelings. As other reviewers have mentioned, the storyline was great, but the backgrounds of the characters could have been expanded quite a bit more to strengthen the story. Overall, it was a quick, but enjoyable read.

4 out of 5 stars.

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley.

Tracy Wolff long ago became a one click author for me. Her books are always sexy and more often than not involve an alpha male and a sassy female main character. Insta-love is definitely a theme throughout her stories so be forewarned if that's not your thing.

I'm a sucker for a sports romance which is hilarious to me as someone who doesn't watch sports. In this story, we've got a football player and a real estate agent. I loved Emerson (the female mc). She was sassy and hilarious and independent. Hunter (the male) was sexy, confident and just the right amount of cocky without being awful. The vulnerability he showed later in the story was a welcome surprise and I really liked the entire story.

If you need a quick, smutty read, this is one I definitely think you should pick up.

Emerson and Hunter meet on Emerson's first day on her new job at a real estate agency and convinces her boss to let Emerson show him some houses on the market. This is a great read about true love and the heartache of losing a sibling. Tracy Wolff has created the perfect book for readers you have laughter, love and heartache. I highly recommend this book for all readers.

I had an extremely tough time with this book to the point where I was burning up with anger on the inside as I got further into the story. My main problem with this story is Emerson and the huge amounts of inst-lust throughout this book. I didn't like that fact that Emerson was so broke and she claimed she needed her job so badly, yet she was completely unprofessional and slept with Hunter on her 2nd day of work. It was so cliche that Hunter was having sex with his realtor while they were on a property tour. Plus I felt like Emerson mommy problems were just thrown into the book as an afterthought. She cLiam's she doesn't want to be like her mom, who dates rich men and throws her away, but she dives into a sex only relationship with Hunter. If she really had some deep rooted issues about this, she would have held out on the sex and gotten to know Hunter on a personal level first. Emerson knew more about Hunter's niece and nephew from asking them questions when she first met them then she did Hunter, which was mind boggling to me. Not to mention the fact that she doesn't find out that Hunter has a twin sister until I'm 75% into the book, and she doesn't find out that this sister has cancer until I'm 92% in is ridiculous. Basically, I'm just not a fan of insta-lust, and if I would have known that that's what this book entailed, then I wouldn't have asked for it. I can say that the insta-lust would not have bothered me so much if Emerson didn't act like she was so desperate for the job because for all she knows, she could have been bought and gotten fired, but since this is a book, that obviously didn't happen.

I've liked some of this author's rock star books, but holy shit this whole thing needs to get taken down a notch. There's insta-love and then there's INSTA-LOVE!!!1!! They're having oral sex in somebody's back yard after knowing each other less than a day. Having sex after another day without protection. Then in the last 15% the whole tone of the book changes again. Just. Stop. For. A. Second. I'm too old for this.

Wayyyyy too instalove for me. They meet at the beginning of the book and the book ends with their HEA a mere 8 weeks later and a LOT happens in the meantime. I feel like this book had real potential but it felt super rushed and the characters needed more development, there was a lot of telling vs. showing, and I can’t quite figure out how the hell the two MCs managed to fall in love without having a single in depth conversation that didn’t involve real estate or foreplay. Did not work for me at all.
