Haven't got round to it, was getting quite boring anyway. Will finish the series eventually though.

This one may well be my favorite of the entire series. I love the story-within-a-story trope. The more deeply layered, the greater my adoration. It doesn't hurt that the stories in this are right up my ally as well - with hints of madness and brief glimpses of alternate worlds. One of the stories, "A Tale of Two Cities" is one of my favorite pieces of short fiction.

It's like an onion. Or an ogre. Layers man. Lots of layers.

One of the shorter parts, and, I'm especially pleased to say, another one with individual dream stories. And in addition, the prelude to the last section of the main series, so to speak. Is there a spoiler at the end? Maybe. Are the references back in this part particularly frequent and clear? That, too. Do I like the stories? Definitely. Should you take a look inside? Yes, this time again independent of previous stories, even if of course some allusions then fall by the wayside.

Neil Gaiman does it again. The universe he had created around the Sandman permeates all possible worlds and in the unlikely Inn that hosts this volume you get to see a glimpse of characters touched by Gods. A true work of art
