Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Harley had moment of realisation as he looked around his life. The life he chose for fame! Only with management talking live-in security, Harley was afraid his secret was about be become to hard behind Evah   fiancee persona. Yep maybe management was right, news flash Someone was in his home! That whole part was just to good to not be a wake-up call. Brix was being punished, he just knew it. A live-in babysitter, a NDA and outrageous list of demands. Gott love that first impression. Time and togetherness bring them closer, where Brix's is breaking away from the wrong assumption, seeing more than Harley is willing to share with the real world. Maybe fighting the attraction more complex to handle with Harley in the spotlight. Loved Brix so much as the big bad that is a totally softie on something's that he loves. Harley grew on me once you get why he fears the unknown so much.  Oh I need more of Iris and Mike Bravo Team!

There is a lot I liked about this book. I liked Harley okay, and Brix (awful name) was great. I love reading about big softies so much. Their relationship was cute, but it missed a spark or something that made me really root for them. Everything just felt very easy and I guess it's not necessarily a bad thing, love doesn't have to be a battle every time. But here, it felt like there should have been stakes (pop star in the closet, bodyguard in debts...) but I just wasn't made to feel anything about it. The romance was nice, but didn't really pull me in.

I was a little sad to see how different Harley was from [b:Hat Trick|48717530|Hat Trick (Fake Boyfriend, #5)|Eden Finley|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1573022523l/48717530._SY75_.jpg|67687655]'s Harley. He was too smooth, too nice, and you could say his flaws are that he is a workaholic with trust issues, but the book never really actually delves into them? I wanted him to be more.

Speaking of more - I am in love with Iris and I cannot wait for his book! He is so fun and unbothered, what a king.

Anyway, back to Pop Star, the whole stalker plotline was not super engaging, the whole thing kind of didn't make sense but again - the romance was cute, even if I found it to be extremely surface level. I'll still read the whole series before I move on to Iri- to the Mike Bravo series!

Harley was in a boy band called Eleven, but they disbanded and he’s focusing on his solo career now. After the last show of his tour,Harley came home to meet a stalker, who thinks Harley looked at him in a “certain way” so he took it as an invitation to break into his home and wait for him.It was a very traumatic experience for Harley so he decided to finally hire a bodyguard.

Brix is an ex military man and part of the Mike Bravo Op,they are private military contractors. So when Brix found out his next “target” or the person he was going to protect is a pop star he had never heard of,he was not so excited because he thought this was going to be a boring job and he’s all about action. The money was very tempting though, and since he had a mountain of debt he decided to take the Job.

Tackling the person you are supposed to be protecting to the ground is not a good way to start you job

Enjoyed. Instantly devoted slightly submissive bodyguard is my thing. But I think it's better because I didn't read the pop star's ex's book first.
I'm glad the AAC was mentioned in the end. I wasn't sure if it wasn't provided to the man who needed it because of author's ignorance or shitty American healthcare. Honestly, reading about American healthcare is so depressing.
I really did not like the way they created fake evidence to get the villain imprisoned for longer. American prisons are also awful places.
