I loved this story!! Heath and Adrien are so sweet (and hot) together, even if they do get off to an awkward, even cold beginning. Heath is very determined at first to remain aloof, and to not see Adrien as his own person, but as just a means to an end. When they get to know each other, however, he slowly starts to care for Adrien. He is won over by the omega's trust in him and his honesty, but for a man who prizes trust and honesty so highly, Heath has quite a bit to learn about it himself.

The way Heath and Adrien come together is a recipe for disaster later on, because secrets always come out, usually with awful timing... and Heath is keeping one helluva secret from Adrien. This had me worried all throughout the book... It was all I could do not to skip to the end to see how it would all play out! You can just see the train wreck coming, but you can't stop it! Poor Simon... he tries to get Heath to open up to Adrien about Nathan, but his efforts are in vain. He told you so, Heath! He told you so!

This was a very interesting take on the mpreg universe with great world building, but then I would expect nothing else from this author.
Omega's are not exactly favored by the religious people in this universe, and I was struck by the author's explanation: omega's need to be punished for daring to be like God and create life... food for thought, certainly. I really love how she plays with stereotypes and gender identity, even in funny little details, like alpha's preferring brunettes to blondes... and I loved that apparently the alpha's are more vulnerable and prone to fall in love with the omega's than the other way around, which I greatly prefer to them constantly being all macho & dominant. Though there is a fair amount of that going around as well.

This is a sexy story, but also a really emotional one, giving you all the feels. I very much enjoyed it!

Heat for Sale (Heat for Sale #1) by Leta Blake – You should absolutely check taboos, age gap, and triggers before reading this one, but I really like the world building! Happy Reading!

Well the premise of the book is really messed up and the first few chapters were really hard to read for me. It comes across really rape-ish with Adrien having no choice than to sell his heat. The hole auction process is just so crude or it feels that way because Adrien knows jack shit about life. Also the start of his heat feels just wrong.

After that it gets better but the hole thing is so backwards that I found it hard to just go along with it. I also had a lot of unanswered questions in the end that would have been easily explained in a few sentences. Like are there no woman at all in the world? Are betas infertile or why can’t they have kids? What rights do omegas have? Could they just spend there heat alone? Stuff like that would be nice to know.

This book just feels like all the wrong things you can do with omegavers. But the writing in itself was good, that was the only reason I finished the book. I don’t think I will read anything else from the author in the near future.
