Macy and Garrett, the female and male lead characters, have had a unrecognised reciprocal crush on each other since they were teens, though Macy’s brother made Garrett promise not to have a relationship with his sister. When Macy is desperate to escape from her father’s machinations for a business aligned marriage, Garrett acts as her fake boyfriend and their relationship develops from there.

This novella is dual POV, straightforward and well written. I found the angst towards the end, regarding the man who Macy’s father expected her to marry a bit over the top and unnecessary.

This is a very cute christmas small town romance anthology. It provides a wide range of tropes and characters. Each story is a feel good read I enjoyed the variety of storylines and authors this anthology has provided.

I started trying to read this at the beginning with the first authors story and it was far too boring to keep my attention. After that I skipped to Kate Stacy’s story, Twelve Days because her books are never disappointing!

I sped read through Damien’s story (If you have read any of Kate’s other books you get glimpses of him in them ♥️) it did not disappoint it was so sweet and prefect! I may have cried both sad and happy tears during the story.

As for the other stories in the book at a later date I may give them a try (all the other authors are new to me authors). However it was worth it just to read Damien’s story!
