Best friend’s sister meets unspeakable (and yet to be solved) murder mystery meets avenging “witches” meets f*ck the patriarchy.
A very fun, super hot, start to what I imagine will be another great series.
Lots of setting the scene for the series in the first half and the romance takes some time to get started.

Not a fan of this one. The story dragged a bit, didn’t much like the heroine, the romance felt a bit forced & by the time I got to the ableism bit with the “child like” dead wife I didn’t feel like continuing. I seem to remember enjoying other books by this author, so win some, lose some I guess.

I really enjoy how Hoyt writes strong female leads. I did find this story a bit of a tangle with a bit too much going on but it was still enjoyable.
