Each of Georgia Clark’s books has made me love her more, and this one is no different. To call it a rom-com feels too simple, almost reductive. It is a sweeping exploration of family, humanity, change and loss, love of all kinds, and so much more. It is as intense and emotional as it is light and hilarious. Each character is developed with great care, their relationships crafted with detail and complexity. It’s a beautiful book, and you should read it.
Graphic: Animal death, Sexual content, Medical content, Grief, Colonisation, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Infidelity and Panic attacks/disorders
Minor: Miscarriage
Intense scenes involving natural disasters (tsunami, tropical storm) and life-threatening situations
