I honestly don't understand the hype around this book. The story makes absolutely no sense, mental health issues cured by love and acceptance, the dom/sub dynamic is off, and of course I know most of the people read it for the smut, but please, you can do better.

This was Ames Mills first time writing an MMMM romance & my first time reading a why choose with no FMC & honestly the book was good & it still had some of the elements that Ames other books have but I still prefer her other work in comparison to this one. I did love Blaze though (& I know there’s some controversy around his character but whatever) the realization that no matter what your occupation is you can still struggle with mental illness & honestly depending on your occupation & the mental illness it could be more dangerous.

While this stand alone might be out of Ames Mills wheelhouse, you would never know! For the Love of Kane gives you the Abbs Valley feel while being completely different at the same time.
It's not hard to see what Jaxon sees in Kane; from their first meeting, you knew it was going to be all consuming. Adding Blaze and his childlike enthusiasm alongside his illness and voices add another layer. Elijah and his undying love for these men...*chef's kiss*
But when there's a mole, who could it be? Could someone Kane loves and has handed his heart over to be the one secretly plotting to end him? Second guessing everything and everyone is the name of the game when it comes to getting to the bottom of this great mafia-esque story with some amazingly smutty romance thrown throughout!
While there were a few little pieces through the story that never got brought up again that I was hoping would be addressed, I am so glad to have a book by Ames Mills that has no ties to Abbs Valley. I can't wait to see what come out of that brain next!

This book is smutty as all hell lol. I enjoyed the story and I definitely didn't see some of the plot twists coming at all. I didn't really enjoy the daddy talk but that's personal preference. I loved Eli so much he was such a cutie. Definitely check the trigger warnings.
