He has been dreaming about it for so long that he was willing to give up his chance on becoming king, in order to find his mate…
A total simp.

That was why I didn't want to choose just anyone to be my bride. I wanted to feel a connection when I saw her. I wanted to feel what the dragon lord in the story felt when he looked upon his beautiful mate and saw eternal love and devotion in her eyes. I wanted someone I could spend my entire life with.

I loved this one. In this particular story the way dragons are chosen to be King is for their mate/ chosen bride to participate in 3 different stages of a trial and whoever wins, their respective husband becomes king. I loved the trials Ruby had to do in order for her mate to become king and I love their relatioship and the way Aryan saw his mate. He is practically the only dragon that believes in fated mates and so he sent his blood to the temple to find his. He would rather have someone who was meant for him and to live his life with love than become king and have a partner that wasn't made for him.
I loved these two!
