Surprised by how much I liked this. There were so many tired tropes in it that somehow were played just right to make me like them again. At least in this book. I was really drawn into it, and found the book to be great.

The fantasy world in this book is beautifully described. I love how the story traverses between the fantasy world and our world. This was definitely on my list of "can't put the book down" and is in the top 5 of my favorite YA books.
