With the help of the library audiobook app, I tore through this one on my day off. It’s the center of a time travel change the world plot… I will be grabbing the next one soon.

Thanks Penguin Group, Berkeley for a free book to read and review via netgalley.

Loved it. This is the second book in the series, and the series should be read in order. I had bought the first book sometime last year and when I received this ARC I went and read book one. Amazing story. Stitched people like a modern day Frankenstein but in a sci fi way. The first book just blew me away and this one just continued that. The author even added some romance between Abraham and Matilda. I hate to spoil everything so I won't but this book was an amazing ride. I look forward for more books from this author, especially her Age of Steam series..... Overall entertainment is five stars!

A second book in a weird series. It doesn't really work. It's confused and odd. But interesting. With odd possibilities and near miss side characters. Maybe the next book will do better at firing on all cylinders in sequence. This one was a little too jarring. 3.5 of 5.

Love this series. Not sure how Tilly is going to fix the time mess they made, but I'm looking forward to finding out

In this second installment of Devon Monk's House Immortal series, Matilda's reunited with her brother Quentin, who's spent the last three years working for various Houses in a quest to find the formula at the heart of the Wings of Mercury experiment. Now, after the disastrous ending to House Immortal, they're on the run along with Matilda's farm hand Neds and one of the galvanized, Abraham, who's incapacitated from injuries sustained while escaping a crazed megalomaniac's plans for world domination.

Oh, the drama! Oh, the tension! And that's all before we find out about the countdown clock...

Infinity Bell augments all that was great in House Immortal with a fast-paced plot, deeper backstory, and an ending that will leave you wishing you could travel through time (to get your hands on Crucible Zero sooner). Fans of urban fantasy will love this refreshing take on the genre - there are no vampires, weres, witches, fae, or zombies; instead we get immortals made by a break in time, stitched together à la Frankenstein. How cool is that?

Devon Monk's new series is impressive so far, and I'm excited to see where we go next! Is it September yet?

I like Devon Monks newer stuff better. Like the Age of Steam series (Please, please, please Devon Monk. I'm begging you to finish the steampunk series!)
Infinity Bell and House Immortal story lines were pretty good, and original. But, a lot of things are repeated over and over again, as if we need to be reminded every other page of what is happening, and who they are. It's too dumbed down for my liking..... Not sure I want to read the last book of the trilogy, except it had a great cliffhanger, so I might.

As usual Ms. Monk doesn't disappoint, book grabbed me from the 1st page and didn't let go! Can't wait to see what awaits Matilda and Abraham and the rest in the next installment!

After getting over the minor gross details in House Immortal I got sucked into the series, so it wasn't even a question to read the second book. Especially after the cliffhanger. We get a wider picture of the original and quite complex world the story played in. There is a lot of new element in this book and is really exiting, too mainly because it doesn't spend that much time explaining the world mechanics. However I still think that it wouldn't be a functional world structure but that dosen't important in case of the book.

The wonderful cast returned and there are a coule of new character, too. Matilda is still a really strong and badass heroine dispite the fact that she lived a really sheltered life. Her character developes in some regard, but we get to know her more naive side too. Especially when it's about his brother. She wants to protect the people and its good but her blind faith in Quinten is ine of her stupidest mistake. However at the end she starts to think for herself and that is a positive inprovement. Her relationship with Abraham blooms in this story, not in tha space I expected and after the last chapter of the book I have serious doubts about their future. My heart broke for her, but still hope for a happy ending.
Abraham didn't change a bit, but we get to know a bit more about his real personality. He proves time and time again that he is a true leader, but not a uppity. Dispite this he still stays a mystery, and don't even start with his change in the end.
For me this book is not perfect because of Quinten, I absolutly hated him. He is one of the most megalomanic and even egoistic character I ever read about. He was supposed to be so smart but didn't think that if you change a monumental event in the past the present will completly change. Oh and he even blamed Matilda for a lot of things, he didn't have a right. In Matilda place I would have leaved him behind.

The cliffhanger in the end simply killed me and broke my heart. I really looking forward the next book and hope for the best. I think the author built a fantatic world and impressed me with her uniqe idea, made me thinking of trying her other series again.
