Ok this one was a bit strange. A bit funky.

Brilliant. The continuing adventures of Miles Vorkosigan, this time with genetic engineers! In bubbles! "He was beginning to wonder if he was trying to rescue the dragon.” Oh, honey.

Don't ask questions, read the series.

Even a minor Vorkosigan novel is pretty fun.

Different than the chronologically earlier books, but fantastic. A science fiction mash up with mystery. Loved it.

So, similarly to the Vor Game, this is three stars in comparison to the other books in this series because the others were so good.
I liked this more than the Warrior's Apprentice, but not as much as the Vor Game.

I love Ivan. He is one of my favourites forever.
There were some great characters in this, and as usual, I love Bujold's writing. I was not so interested in the actual plot, though. The big mystery did not interest me :p I do so enjoy this series though.

Second read: hilariously, most of my previous opinions are the opposite this time around. This is my least favourite of all the series, Ivan frustrates me, and this time I was interested in the plot. It did take me a while to get into the book again, though. Both times I've read it I've had a hard time getting into it. I re-started it over a year ago, or maybe longer.

I enjoyed the interesting twists on gender roles, and genetic design. Very fun book.

You get the feeling that this is all set-up for what's coming later, but it's always interesting set-up. I found myself strangely fascinated by the Cetagandan societal rituals and bubbles.

Another delightful espionage / mystery / court intrigue space adventure. Bujold's vocabulary, pacing, and world-building are excellent, as is Gardner's audiobook reading.

I love the contrast between Miles and Ivan in this book. They're perfect foils to each other.

I like the Miles series by Bujold. It's been so long since I've read them, I can't comment on individual stories. Jared enjoys them, too.
