This book made me so sad. I had Phoebe as a professor and read her book after the semester ended. Oh my god I wanna cry for little her. She didn’t deserve all that :( 
I’m glad that she seems to be successful and happy now. If you see this Phoebe, I love you you’re amazing.

gahhhhh I love this book so much I don’t care, used to be one of my faves and it still stands as a story that is so darkly relatable and complex. girlhood and womanhood are so sad at times and this book really reflects that. I really do hold this book dear to my heart!
