Only Sophie could make me relive the post-book depression I felt after finishing the spy. This book was truthfully more than I ever anticipated or could have thought Sophie would grace us with like can this woman actually write a bad book? (No)
Miss Sabrina.

I actually want to be her when I grow up.
I feel like bad bitch isn’t suffice enough for her but it’ll have to do. I’ve been obsessed with her since she appeared in the kingmakers series and I knew I just needed her and Adrik’s story and it did not disappoint.

I was deeply moved by the character growth that sabrina goes through within the story and her struggles with vulnerability is something that really spoke to me and it’s certainly not a feeling I’m stranger to. I loved her ferociousness and drive towards achieving her dreams at all costs. Like I said, I wish to be her when I grow up lol

Adrik was so much more than what I expected and I loved seeing the dynamic between him and Sabrina. Their relationship was so explosive and chaotic and sooo addicting, It was everything I didn’t know I needed!!!

THE SPICE. No spoilers but Sophie went there. That’s all I say

Everyone wants to be close to you. But you want to be close to me …” “That’s right. You’re my favorite person in the world.” “I am?” her voice cracks slightly. “Yes, baby. Always you.”

I love love loved everything about this book, Sophie definitely did her thing with this one. The development of these characters so amazing.
I was so consumed by Adrik and Sabrina, the tension, banter, sexual chemistry

I don't know how to feel about this one. I thought we had a 5 stars in our hands, but then the resolution to the main conflict... I didn't like it. Still 4 stars because I loved Sabrina and Adrik anyways, two savages, indeed.

I have been a huge fan of Sophie Lark this past year. I started with the Brutal Birthright series and have read all of her other books. This by far was my absolute favorite. I devoured this book in one single sitting. I loved Sabrina and Adrik. I absolutely love anything Sophie Lark reads. Her mafia work is the best!
