“I always want you there, Stevie. Hockey? It might have been my everything at one time, but now…now it’s you. You’re my everything. You and Macie.”

3.75 stars.

I really loved Greer and Stevie together, I also loved his relationship with Macie.. And this book would've had a higher rating if it wasn't for THAT chapter; to be honest, I might even have let it slide had the explanation been worth it, but it wasn't enough in my opinion..
However, I enjoyed the book too much to give it a lower rating!

Glove Save by Teagan Hunter was such a fun Grumpy sunshine – single parent book.
Greer, is the goalie of the Carolina Comets and boy was he out on love. With a mom that is working on marriage number 4 let’s just say Greer, doesn’t believe in it.
That is until Stevie and her sassy hockey loving 10-year-old daughter Macie enters his life.
Stevie and Greer start off strong on the friendship only, they both need a favor from each other. Greer needs a date to yet another one of his mothers weddings and Stevie needs Greer to help Macie become the start little league hockey player she dreams of being.
There wasn’t a lot of tension and sizzling moments with these two but the connection with Macie and Greer was the highlight of the book for me.
I wish there was a better balance between Greer and Stevie – but sadly their relationship fizzle in comparison.

Another day another adorable hockey romanxe by Teagan Hunter. Had such a great time reading this!

Macie is an absolute riot the hell she gave Greer and the Comets but then her and Greer bonding theough her lessons was also so darn cute! It was well paced and had the perfect balance of emotion, banter and romance.

I do wish we saw a bit more of Stevie’s life outaide of her kid and Greer, we got some glimpses of her getting let go at work and then working for Scout but I don’t even know the degree she studies for im the epilogues much less what her passions were?

I was surprised by how spicy these two got I need to a pause a few times.

Start to finish in one sitting... that should tell you something. I was a little scared to read Greer's book after learning about him in the rest of the series. You all know why, but I love the way that Teagan writes these characters so much that I was able to read this book with little to no triggers!
Stevie is a single mom to Macie, and Macie is obsessed with the Carolina Comets. She doesn't much care for the grumpy goalie, but she loves everyone else. Stevie thinks Greer is just a party boy and she doesn't have time to mess around with guys like him. When he asks her a favor as payback, she has no choice but to get closer to him. As she does, she sees the reason he is so guarded and unable to believe in love.
Greer doesn't like kids, but spending so much time with Stevie and Macie softens him. He is so scared of breaking down his carefully curated world that he doesn't realize that these two girls are going to become his world whether he likes it or not. They will infiltrate his heart. I loved seeing this grumpy man get taken out at the knees by his "girls".

Oh Greer. The grumpiest grump of scowl town.

Just couldn’t help but rile Stevie up every time he was around her. I mean he was basically a kid pulling the pigtails of the girl he likes. All whilst denying he likes her or believes in love as a general rule.

He really brought out the defensive, sassy, snarky side of Stevie, and I love that side of her. She didn’t stand for his crap, refused to even be nice to him, and was in full on denial about finding him attractive.

Macie was such a firecracker too. Protective, feisty, full of fire, but just the sweetest, and funniest kid.

The organic progression of their relationship and feelings was great, the banter was fun, and the spice! Let’s just say that for all Greer’s aversion to ever being a daddy in the beginning, he sure was a
