i loved the first 3 books of the series, but i struggled to understand the intricacies and explanations given in the 4th book. it left me perplexed and wanting more from what remained of the finish. as the series came to an end, it felt like there was more to the narrative.

Wow! I can’t believe just like that, the mirror visitor quartet is complete. Beautiful story, very engaging! Surprisingly gory, dark, and kind of messed up, more than the other books in my opinion. I agree with other reviewers that the parts with Thorn and Ophelia were the best, for me anyway. Their relationship is so moving and complex, they really have been through so much together. The twist with Ophelia at the end bums me out, and I agree that the epilogue was a little bit lacking.
I would’ve loved fully fledged paragraphs about each of the main characters and side characters, what became of them and how they fit into the new world. I really wanted a happy ending for all of them. The ending was bittersweet. Definitely going to have to re-read the series now, it’s been a few years since I read the 1st and 2nd. All in all, I really enjoyed it.

For me, this book started off well! I liked the new dynamics and where the plot was going. Towards the ending, however, something started not working for me and I was/am also a little confused (which is probably a me-problem; I can’t quite grasp the explanations given). Ultimately I am left a bit unsatisfied (and saddened!! So much was lost… even characters…) with the conclusions of the entire story. The open ending feels to me both unnerving and hopeful??
