Oh how I love consent and good communication. I also loved their relationship. It started out a bit dark, but it eventually turned sweet, while the things that happened turned dark.

Icarus is looking for a mate for his twin Dalus & asks the Barista for help. Except upon meeting Melody, Icarus also wants her. Because it turns out, Dalus & Icarus are mates too.

Monster Romance, Incest, MMF, Fire kink, 4 🔥

There was soooo much potential in this story! I really enjoyed what was there but I wanted more backstory and character from Dalus and Icarus. I loved the way Melody completed them. I also wanted a way better epilogue than that to see them okay after everything that happened.

The next branch in the Barista Matchmaking series. We get a MMF sub/Dom combo of soulmates this time and I love the introduction of phoenix. The antagonist is still sending cronies even while recuperating but everyone comes together to defeat them again.

I liked all three of them. Story was very solid, but again I’m more interested in the back story of the barista and Lucifer! Also very very steamy and hot 🥵 (pun intended)

TWs/kinks: incest, sexual content, kidnapping, fire, death, murder, pyrophilia, long tongue play, spitting swallowing, BDSM, degradation kink, praise kink, shifted monster sex, size difference, group sex

Extra big warning for the *incest*. The two men in the group are twin brothers. Nothing more than a kiss takes place on the page, but more graphic intimacy is discussed.

I had to remind myself constantly through this book that ancient supernatural beings aren't beholden to human decorum, but damn this book wasn't it for me. The book was technically well written for the type of book that it is, but this book is NOT everyone's cup of tea. The author definitely should have put more information about the content of this book upfront given the extra taboo nature of most of the book.

TWs (+kinks): twincest, sexual content, sexual assult, kidnapping, fire/fire injury, death, murder, pyrophilia, long tongue play, spitting, spanking, collaring, bdsm, degradation kink, praise kink, fully shifted sex, size difference

Maybe author should have clarified that the taboo theme in this one is motherfucking twincest... that was really off putting. As a twin, I have to say this is where I draw the line lmao. Please leave incest in Alabama.

Gotta be honest for the most part I pretended they were really tight and close best buddies and I tried to ignore the fact Dalus and Icarus were twins. What also made this book bearable for me was the fact the almost did not interact with each other sexually, they kiss on the neck and lips once and that's it. They mostly just share Melody. I swear if there were fucking each other I would probably DNF or rate it one star.

But yeah, smut was amazing and it was written well like all other books. BUT WHY INCEST?! WHY?!
