I Almost Forgot about You, by Terry McMillan

This book was really easy to put down. Georgia wasn’t a very good mom or friend. This story would jump ahead too much and leave a lot of stuff unresolved. I was hoping she was really going to go through all the people and resolve stuff and that never really happened. The love story at the very end did help a lot…but I almost didn’t make it!

This book probably would’ve been 4 stars for me, BUT I found the amount of characters that were introduced and then I was expected to remember who they were with only a little bit of backstory very confusing. The plot line also did not follow a traditional plot which also bothered me. There were flashbacks thrown in that did not flow with the writing in my opinion. Other than those two things, I thought it was a cute book with lots of reminiscing qualities.

I liked the beginning and end but the middle dragged a bit for me. Glad I stuck with it and finished.

Just nope. So many issues with what the author writes, and no redeaming factors.

This felt like a hug.
Very relatable and reminded me that we can change our lives at any age.
Also like how it focused on older women who were fun and sexual and still figuring out life.
