i enjoyed the premise but there were some details that i personally didn’t enjoy. the use of the r word was annoying; while it was very on-brand for the time this was written, it was still annoying. i didn’t enjoy the art style that much although the teleporting panels were great. it reminded me of Alice in Borderland so i might eventually continue reading just to see how similar they are but Gantz didn’t really entertain me as much. although they were fairly diverse, i found most of the characters to be annoying as well.

An intriguing, impressive concept match with compelling art to match -- if only the dialog were sharper and some of the characters better defined. Perhaps that will come in further books.

Have no idea how to rate this book. It's dark, gory, and gritty. Incredibly sexist. Most of the characters are assholes. Yet it also treats the readers as intelligent and reveals bits and piece of things along the way. No giant piece of exposition and explanation in dialogue for this story.

But also what the fuck? The writer included a two panel bit of a dog licking at a naked woman's genitals for absolutely no reason???? I've been told I'd enjoy this series but already it's "treat women like objects" central.

The story had potential, but I wasn't over fond of the characters or the violence. After Helsing, I'm just not in the mood for another bloodbath manga, and Helsing at least had some characters worth investing in. Two stars for the artwork.

total review:
while it started out pretty slow, it picks up and sets you on a series of adventures where anyone and everyone can/do die. the main character starts out as a pretty unlikeable and unredeemable person, but torwards the middle/end he does change. women are handled pretty poorly in this, and there are a few week points,
the vampires really seemed to only exist to eliminate ilumi, and the blackface had me react more than the rest of the story. The answer of what was behind gantz was decently done, if a little predictable.

while most people didn't like the last arc, I found it pretty good, allows us to see the full escalation of what we thought we knew, and the new charcters introduced do a good job of allowing our hero to shine. alien design was great.

Konusu ilginç ve güzel fakat çizimleri kötü.
