Since it took me like 6 weeks to read this one, I probably won't read the next, but I liked it OK. The writing style was not my favorite, but it was engaging enough.

Bobby Pendragon is a 14 year old boy who has just found out he is a traveler and he has the responsibility for saving the world. One day, his uncle Press showed up and asked him for help.Together they traveled through the flume to another territory; Denduron.Bobby didn’t want to be engaged in this saving the world stuff. He is not brave or a warrior or a hero, above all he is just fourteen, so he wanted to run away and go home. But he decided to stay after …

At first when I read the plot summary,I immediately said to myself: oh no,again another boy who wants to save the world, too cliché, and I‘ve read stuff like that too much.I didn't want to read it.But when I started to read, it grabbed my attention right from the start and I grew to like it. I found Bobby’s journals so funny. Overall, I’m not sorry for giving this book a try and I've already started to read the next book.

I couldn’t get into the story in the beginning but once I did, I actually enjoyed it. Different kind of story for me. Loved the different world and the style of the book going back and forth with journal readings happening in earth and the story happening in denauron. I personally didn’t like the character Loor though and was annoyed at her treatment of Bobby.

This book is ok.
But it's not very good.
I feel like I might have enjoyed it more if every instance of the word moment weren't spelled 'mument'...
I don't normally get in a massive tiff about that sort of thing but it said mument a lot.
And I feel like for the target audience of early highschool students, it's probs not that good for reading comprehension and not confusing the shit out of people.
Anyway, point being, at the time when I read this, I picked it up because my brother who is dyslexic put it down after being frustrated by it (for many reasons, but I doubt the purposeful misspelling would have helped), and I can totally see why that would/(does) put people off.
