Love this whole series feel so sorry for Chase really do I sobbed for him at the end thinking about the betrayal but I really wished they didn’t do this to his wife I really feel she wouldn’t have done this not only to chase but to her family was so sad can’t wait for the next book now!
I didn't want to like Dante Alfero. But he made me, damn it. And the twist in this, I really never saw coming. Now my heart is breaking and I just want my favourite made man to be okay.
I'm very unhappy with a certain supporting character. MSRIP.

Blood in No Out
Rachel does it again, giving me all the feels. Just when you think you have the storyline figured out you don't! I will forever love the Elect series, never stop writing.

Well I love Rachel's books, I feel that this couple was not as strong as previous couples. I did enjoy the last part of the book. To me Dante and El had little chemistry.
Spoiler
I was not surprised it was Mil who betrayed them since I could tell it was her from the beginning. That being said, I loved Mil and I wish Rachel would not have had her betray the family. It makes sense though.

5 Mafia Loving CROWNS
I love Mafia romances. The corrupt yet honorable men, the fierce and devoted women, and the world filled with blurring grey lines is nothing short of enthralling for me, and Rachel Van Dyken's world has just become my new favorite Mafia romance.
The anti-hero of this story is Dante, and I love him! It is so clear to see why El is attracted to him. Why she is drawn to all the good and bad parts of him. Because we see the good and the pain inside of him, and, as readers, we forgive what he does for his family and El because there is honor in the pain he inflicts. More than Dante, though, I love every single man I was introduced to in this book (this being my first in the series, and yes it can be read as a standalone, but here is my disclaimer: you will want to go back and read them all). They are all different but all have that perfect mix of safety and danger that makes these fictional worlds so incredible enticing.
I also love the heroine, El, and mainly because of how she overcomes her prison in hell. While she may appear weak to others, the amount of resilience she has is unparalleled. Every time she faces an enemy, I was in awe of her power, even if she is unaware of what she has. Just like the men, the group of women in this book are just as wonderful. I love the comradery among them, and they way support each other and love their men. They are the ones that make this group of men, this family, a real one.
What I love most about Mafia stories is the suspense, the danger, and the passion that is mixed together, and Rachel Van Dyken delivers a story that held my attention from the opening pages, first with the forbidden nature and sexual tension between Dante and El and then with the impending danger facing the family. Add to that the secret being hidden from all the characters, and I couldn't put it down. It had every single aspect of a good Mafia romance I could ever want. The ending, though, that ending crushed my soul and yet left me with a sense of hope. My only disappointment is that I have to wait for the next book!
I have found my new favorite Mafia World, and I never ever want to leave. I want to stay wrapped up in this cocoon of danger and safety forever! This will absolutely be in my read again and again pile!

OH DANG THAT LAST 25%. I DIDN'T SEE IT COMING!!!! LIKE REALLY!!!! I LOVE IT WHEN AUTHORS THROWS THINGS IN A MAJOR LOOP!
Dante, Dante, Dante. What are we going to do with him he is lovely and deadly. I feel so bad for him. The training that the other bosses put him through is ridiculous. More power to him for getting it done. he ends up falling for the nanny. I was a little shocked as well. through this book, we go through what Dante struggles and how he feels about the nanny. the Nanny also has crazy past. we will talk about that latter. So much happens in this book. I can't even talk about it. I will say this there will be death, destruction, someone will spiral, and betrayal. Must read.
