Omg this book made me want to cry ( I didn't though). The ending was so perfect. So incredibly cute. Like I actually teared up. I'm sad the series is over :'( anyways though, if I could give the book a 4.5 rating I would but alas I cannot. So a 4 it is. The beginning was a tad slow. I didn't really get into it until about 50 pages in. But otherwise fantastic book. The ending was a bit bittersweet with the whole "love triangle" issue but overall I was very happy with the ending. I probably would have been sad if she didn't end up with who she did. But all in all, A+ :)

P.S. I was ungodly excited when we saw Chloe and Derek!!!!!! So excited!!! I was like sitting on my bed bouncing up an down like an idiot trying to be quite cause it was like 1am :D

This book fit with the other 2 perfectly.
I hated that Maya got caught but glad she was able to get away with not only herself but some of the others.
I loved when they meet up with some of the Genesis characters I have missed Chloe and Derrick and that was fun to see them come together.
I didn’t suspect the doctor, I should have!
Loved the negotiations and getting their families back!
The narration was perfect!

I cant believe the Project Genesis kids came in at the end! My entire life is complete now.
Its nice to see a teen supernatural book written by a Canadian that is based in Canada :)
In general Kelly Armstrong is an amazing writer and one of my favorite authours!!!

I really enjoyed this series. It was super exciting to see Chloe and Derek again. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better ending. They are getting a shot at as much of a regular life as they could ask for and they have plans for the future. I wouldn't mind having their lives.

I'm just sad that it's ended. I would enjoy some short stories about their new lives. Maybe from different POVs. Maybe I'll write some fanfiction...

bit disappointing tbh. and i'm not just speaking as someone bitter that another platonic male-female friendship was taken away from me. (one of these days i am going to walk out on to the road and scream MEN AND WOMEN CAN BE FRIENDS!!! until someone gives a piece of media that reflects that without anyone developing romantic feelings for their buddy)

ehh. felt like a retread of the previous five books really. also rather anti-climactic for a finale. 2.5 stars

This series goes as follows The Gathering: FANTASTIC!!! The Calling: Pretty good The Rising: ehh...

The final installment of this series felt like it went in circles and by the end they were pretty much back to square one. The Rising felt more like a middle book then a finale. I have read a lot of Kelly's books and this one felt the least like her to me. A of all there is a love triangle (KILL ME) and B of all there wasn't much of a conclusion. The lack on conclusion to the series makes me wonder if we are really done with this story... I hope not.

God this series just fell apart. It should have been a standalone.
Spoiler And once again, fuck any book where the nice guy best friend gets the girl.

Not that memorable of a book. Kind of confusing, but it was nice that it tied into the first trilogy (see "Darkest Powers").
