I am complete trash for romance between bookish, quirky nerds... but- the attraction between the two main characters fluctuated between awkwardness, judgement, complete desire, and love multiple times within what must have been a ten hour window, that I just found myself being annoyed.
The drama of "lying about your true identity" seemed perfectly understandable and justified and not some big betrayal. The male lead seemed most turned on by how delicate and small the librarian was. And despite her insistence that he was much too smart/handsome/interesting for her, all the men seem to flock around her. It was short though and maybe the plot of the following books in the series are more believable. But this one just did not hit the mark.

Did not enjoy this one. It had so many things that I don't like that it's hard for me to think of the redeeming features. Libraries, the general idea of romance, meddling friends..... and that's kinda it

I thought I’d like this because of the sexy librarian trope but this is not worth the read. Olivia Dade has much better works. The insta-love had zero chemistry and I can’t get over them having sex on top of a bed of stuffed animals covered with a tablecloth.

I gave it a fair shot but I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it even though it’s so short. This one should have been a wattpad exclusive.

85 pages doesn’t give you a lot to work with, so yeah, falling in love over the course of one night seems reasonable. Except, it doesn’t really read as reasonable. It reads as ridiculous. Good library jokes though. Nice literary references. Pretty meh over all.

this was a funny totally unrealistic fantasy romance novella written by a librarian. and right now the kindle edition is free. it's also on Overdrive...if your lib has purchased it. it's very short so the instalove and sex happens very quickly. also has the annoying miscommunication conflict that so many romcoms use. really an apology plus an explanation and all would be forgiven...eventually.

had a preview for book 2 (novella really) and based on the 2 chapters seems to be just as funny and instaloving.
