This was about on par for the rest of this particular series.
Trials of Apollo is probably my least favorite series Rick has written, that’s not to say it isn’t good, but Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, MAGNUS CHASE and evening Kane Chronicles are so much better. We have been tracking Lester/ Apollo and Meg for four books now and Meg still gets on my nerves, the only moments of true emotion I have are when something is happening to Reyna or one of The Seven.
It’s cute, it’s quaint, and it’s a way for me to see The Seven in their post-prophecy lives. Apollo’s character arc has been interesting to watch, but I haven’t fallen in LOVE with these new characters like I did in PJO, HOA, and MC.
Hopefully TOA #5 will wow me, but after Blood of Olympus I don’t really trust Uncle Rick with finales
