I am beginning to dislike this series with each book I complete. I can do without all the sexual advances of her husband and innuendos of these two. It is over the top and completely not necessary, especially with Aurora who when I picture her, she is a complete nerd, plain and a grade C as a woman. But, Charlaine wants us to believe that she is this little sexy vixen and she is far from it. This storyline to me did not make much sense and seem to be all over the place.

It literally took me 3 months to get through this book..lol. My schedule was busy, but I feel a book should capture the reader's attention that you make time for the book. This book was not the case and I am so grateful it has finally ended.

So much time passes between books, I can hardly keep track. And she keeps getting smaller details wrong. Stuff I probably wouldn't remember if I weren't going through them so fast, but I am. But the story was weird in the end, how it all wrapped up. I'm happy for Angel and Shelby though.

Five books into this series and I feel I’m getting over it. Just how many more situations can one character fall into? There are still five more books *sighs* I’m not willing to abandon the series just yet. I’m hoping this book is just a bump in the road. I really do enjoy them as they are a light quick read. This one just felt a bit too predictable.

Este libro fue una desilusión de principio a fin. No fue cozy y se parecía más a una aventura de Sookie Stackhouse con todos los que morían cómo moscas en una sola oración.

Not quite as good as the ones before I'd say 3 1/2. I liked it but not quite as much.

[1st Read] By the fifth book in a series, sometimes you can just tell that the author is running out of steam, but not so in Charlaine Harris’ case. In this instalment of the cosy murder mystery series, Aurora ‘Roe’ Teagarden in relaxing in her garden when a body drops from an aeroplane and lands on her lawn. As I’ve come to expect from Charlaine Harris, this was super fun, and held a good balance between Roe’s ‘normal’ life and the murder mystery aspect, keeping you guessing to the very end. Although I really enjoyed my first read, I can tell that I’m going to enjoy it even more on a re-read.
