Not that bad. The heroine wasn't outrageously annoying only the high regular amount. The strong silent hero was just as aggravating and annoying as usual. Decent.

As someone who has never been drawn to historical romance in the slightest, it says a lot about the author who can draw me in to a historical romance so completely. I loved every bit of this book and am ready for more!

Oh Lynsay, how far you have come. This heroine was truly as dumb as they come.

Soft romance, somewhat interesting, very light reading, not enough world building. I did not care for it enough to continue with this author.

It was fine enough! I liked the couple (Evilende and Cullen) if I'm being honest but the story?
Could have been exciting but it just wasn't, and we didn't even really spent much time on it.
We aware as the reader that these deaths must be connected but then ...
We just find out from the culprit in this long chapter and thhen it's just over.

So much more could have been done I think.

Even the romance (? Can ya call it romance lol?! Ken I no

Maybe it was the audiobook performance, but book is kind of dull.

1 star for audiobook performance. Listen if you want to go to sleep.

I actually love Lyndsay Sands' murder plots and the twists on who is responsible in all of her books but I find the love relationships often awkward or stilted.
