Kind of blind-sided that Annie's romance is about restarting her relationship with Joe - was thinking that she would meet a guy that would make her forget him, but honestly, this works too.

I think I was most invested in Annie and Joe's relationship. Thought the story addressed their past decisions and how it affected their present ones quite well and realistically. And honestly, overall, I thought this was the most sweet of the 3 instalments.

I mean, there was a lot of angst, but it was reasonable and relatable.

SpoilerWhile shutting down Bad Bachelor was a no-brainer, I really liked what Annie decided to do instead.

According to Goodreads this book is book 3 in a series called, Bad Bachelors. But I haven't read any of the other ones and was able to read it without confusion. I believe that this book could be considered a standalone. This book is about a woman who is heartbroken after her boyfriend leaves for another country leaving her behind with her sick mother, creates an app to help the woman of the city she lives in find safe men to date. I recently read an arc like this a couple weeks ago. I didn't care for that one but I loved this book. The main character Annie is such a sweet and caring character. When she found out that her mother had cancer she knew immediately that she couldn't leave the country with her boyfriend, soon to been fiance. I also enjoyed the character of Joe. Even thought he's supposed to be some big tough CEO he's super sweet and is nice to everyone. He never once treated anyone like they were lower than him.

Other than the characters I loved the plot. Most books that have some steamy romance in it either have too much where there's no plot or not enough. This one wasn't that steamy and focused more on the plot than the sex. I would consider this book to be a suspenseful romance. Just because Annie is being stalked and threatened by this mysterious stranger who hates Bad Bachelors, her app/blog.

There was only one problem I had with this book and its the main reason why I gave it only 4.5 stars instead of 5. This is going to be some what of a spoiler so please look away if you don't want to know. Joe finds out who the stalker is and he doesn't tell Annie and we don't know if he ever went to the police or what punishment was given to him.

Everything else in this book was great and was a really quick read for me. I would definitely be interested in reading the other books in this series or other books by this author.

Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5 Stars)
Title: Bad Influence
Author(s): Stefanie London
Character(s):
Leanne "Annie" Maxwell : Twenties, Brunette, Brown Eyed
Joseph Preston: Twenties, (Sandy) Brunette, Blue Eyed
Setting: New York City, New York
Tag(s): Romance, Contemporary
Content Rating: R
POV: Third Person
Smexy Level: Hot
Favorite Quote(s):
― “You’re not under any obligation to date a boy. Ever. And there’s nothing wrong with being friends, so if he can’t deal with it, that sounds a whole lot like his problem. Not yours. You’re not punishing him by saying no.”
“Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. Never let someone else’s limitations define you.”
Overall Opinion:
The opening montage starts off with the lead heroine Anna trying to build up the courage to tell her boyfriend Joseph that she is not going to their months worth plan move to Singapore due to her mother's sudden cancer diagnosis. Ultimately taking it upon herself to make the decision to stay, Joseph felt left in the dark and due to the lack of communication and trust, he abruptly leaves to start his dream career in the faraway country.

Fast forward three years later, Anna is slowly picking up the broken pieces Joseph left behind and being inspired by the heartbreak, she launches Bad Bastards, an app that helps the women of New York avoid men like her ex and provides women a tool to help them navigate the dating world. As soon as Bad Bastards starts gathering media attention, anonymous threats in the form of letters and photos are being forwarded to Annie's email and home, and with Joseph sudden return, the only person she can rely on is him. Miscommunication, resentment and betrayal tugs and pulls Annie and Joseph in every which way, and once suppressed feelings quickly emerged.

With the blurb like that, I was immediately drawn to the series and was slightly let down by the end result. It started off in a high note but as the story progress, I found myself skimming through pages and counting down the minutes I would finally be done. Annie's back and forth switcheroo between loving and hating Joseph became redundant and how she completely ignored the hero's feelings in the prologue was a game changer (Side note, am I the only one that thought Anna was at fault for the relationship ending?) and that set the mood for me. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad and I applaud Stefanie London for taking the time to write this good book, but for me, it was mediocre at best. Nothing particularly stood out and it left me desiring more.

Annie and Joseph’s story was a solid conclusion to the Bad Bachelors series by Stefanie London. I thought the way she wrapped up the Bad Bachelors app hacker storyline was really interesting.

Annie and Joseph has a lot of growing up to do from the beginning of the novel and I enjoyed watching them become better individuals and better partners for each other.

I highly recommend the entire Bad Bachelors series for anyone who enjoys contemporary romances!

I think this one is my favorite in the Bad Bachelors series. I’m a sucker for redemption stories and this is a little like Cinderella and I’m also a sucker for fairytale retellings. Plus the sex was way hotter in this one than the other two.

When I read the blurb for this book I was immediately drawn to it and was slightly let down by the end result. It started good but as story progressed I kept losing interest. I started skimming pages and counting them down till I was done. And Annie's hot and cold attitude (does she love Joseph or does she hate him) only made things worse. Also, maybe I'm the only one, but I really think that the way she acted in the prologue and completely ignored Joseph's feelings and opinions was horrible. I think she's at fault for the relationship ending then and I couldn't warm up to her for the rest of the book. Don't get me wrong, the book wasn't bad it just wasn't as good as I was hoping for it to be after reading the blurb. I liked this book but I didn't love it. It was good but it wasn't great. There's nothing I can point my finger at and say "that's the reason I didn't enjoy it more" (besides mildly disliking the heroine) but I still didn't love it. I guess it was nice enough, but I didn't have a 'wow-feeling' after finishing it.

***I received the ARC for free from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Annie's story was worth the wait! If you've read the previous two books in the series, (if you haven't, go read them first!), then you've probably been as anxious to see how everything started.

Annie's unwavering devotion to the Bad Bachelors app has dealt heavy blows to both of her best friends, causing rifts that have yet to be repaired. When the man who inspired it all, comes back into her life, she's left reeling for more than one reason, as a hacker starts to threaten everything she holds dear.

This was a genuine second chance romance, where you can see the growth in both characters and how they've both changed but still have that level of trust that doesn't go away. Annie and Joe have an amazing connection that was torn apart by not communicating and stubborn pride. I adored their story, but I'm sad the series is over. Definitely one I'll be binge-reading again soon!

This book.. okay im annoyed about it.. joe.. asshat joe.. you move on fast when you didnt get your way.. get engaged to someone else.. and dont fight for the love of your life who you been with for 6+ years cuz she choses to stay with her mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer??? Instead of leaving the country with you to follow your dreams? That your father wanted.. Also its taken you 3 years and your sorry.. 3 years .. no fighting or connecting Annie.. also it was mentioned your ex fiance was the one who called off the engagement not you.. so if she didn't would you have been back?!?!?!

now i would blame Annie also cuz she didn't fight for the relationship.. but i love my mama and well im on her side when it comes to standing by your sick mothers side.... i also skimmed many chapters.. ill be honest i really dont get why the "engagement" to another woman.. it was just mentioned.. the ex was never in it..

Every word i write down i get mad all over.. ughhh
