Just like every other Pippa Grant book, this one moves to the top of my favorite list. I was laughing so hard, I thought I was going to lose it. This woman has the knack for writing hysterically fun books every time. Perfect timing for all of us that are missing sports something fierce right now, the Copper Valley Fireballs are going to make it to the pennant this year, I just know it. Cannot wait to see if I'm right in the future books of this series!

Such a fun book to read. This is laugh out loud funny and my cheeks hurt from smiling the whole time.

Brooks Elliott was traded to the worst pro baseball team and he's understandably grumpy. He's thinking that since the team already has a bad (the worst) record, he can't make it worse by finally losing his V-card. He meets Mackenzie unknowingly for the first time while she was stealing the Meaty mascot and she jock blocks him because of the superstition that every time he tries to get past second base with someone, he can't hit the ball for months. When he meets her in person (without the mascot costume) he gets so attracted to her and he starts pursuing her.

They are such a fun couple with their level of crazy being a perfect match. Even the side characters are hilarious.

DNF @ 57%

I was ready to suffer all the way until the end, but I was just skimming by the that point that I didn’t see it being worth my while anymore.

I didn’t realize that there’s such a thing as too many characters — this one had a billion characters that I couldn’t keep up with, and I was not invested enough to any of them.

I don’t know if it was just me and my comprehension but this book was all over the place. The dialogues and scene transitions were not smooth, it felt like it was jumping back and forth, I couldn’t keep up with it.

I don’t usually rate my DNF-ed books but I read enough of this book to warrant a rating. Also, I feel like even if I force myself to finish this book, I would still give a similar rating (could even be lower) just because my reasons for not finishing it will probably be the same until the end.

It’s sad that I didn’t like this book. I hope others who will read it will have a better experience than me.

Kindle Unlimited. Fun read. FMC maybe a little too kooky for my tastes.

Jock Blocked is a unicorn pinata jammed full of glittery happiness and fun!! I laughed, giggled, and snorted unlady like through the entire book and loved every minute of it!

Pippa's wacky characters are some of my absolute favorite and Jock Blocked is sprinkled with my all of my favorite ones which now include Mackenzie and Brooks. Interconnected with Pippa's other worlds Jock Blocked can be read as a complete standalone, but you may spit your coffee out while laughing at the references to her other books if you have read them, but that is my own opinion.

With the jokes, laughs, and ROTF guffaws aside, there is also a loving story tucked in between about one super fan who never gives up and one baseball player that has lost his shiny way as to why he still plays baseball.

Jock Blocked, no matter if you are a fan of baseball, any sport, or really just any passion, will make you a believer and give you hope. Mackenzie has this inner glow, hope, and dedication that is unlike any I've ever run across. I want to be around her so I can feel better about anything that has gone wrong. She just never gives up and I love that fighting spirit.

Brooks, and his family, is the perfect mix of sweet and crazy (which is totally my kryptonite). A man who loves every nuance of his woman who is also sweet and crazy is literally the best. It won't take much to fall in love with this baseball player, but more importantly, it won't take much to fall in love with Mackenzie and her mission to keep him scoring on the field.

While Mackenzie works hard to keep her home team in her hometown, along with bringing back the team mascot she now adds to her list keeping Brooks Elliott a virgin for the baseball season. She is nothing but a dedicated fan.

Brooks is ready to cash in his v-card when he gets traded to the Fireballs, but a fiesty fan is jock-blocking him at every turn. He decides to turn block her at her own game and take matters into his own hands.

Can Mackenzie resist the handsome player when he insists on spending so much time with her and can Brooks improve his game if he actually listens to the fanatic fan? Welcome to Copper Valley.
