Tried reading something different for me and romance novels aren't it. Regardless, this is a light-hearted book, which I appreciate; however, the romance central to the story seemed a bit contrived and lacked believability.

I always enjoy Debbie Macomber's sweet contemporary romances and this Snow White inspired story was no exception. Sherry White becomes a counselor at a summer camp for gifted children run by the stoic, yet handsome, Jeff Roarke. The two initially clash over their different opinions of how a child's summer camp should be managed, but ultimately find themselves falling in love. Their story alone is adorable, but the supporting characters and campers are also a treat to read about. I'm glad Macomber has written so many books because I will never tire of her writing!

I might be missing something as to the popularity of this author's novels but for me the writing was really Elementary and one dimensional. I appreciate that it wasn't overly sexual but it swung too far the other way.

Flat characters. Really redundant phrasing. Uninspired. Not for me.

I might only give this 3 stars, but it was honestly really original! I like this story a lot, I HATED the one thing that happens at the end, I felt like it came out of nowhere and was rushed and honestly? Just not wise, almost every short story ends like this tho.. I just REFUSE to get used to it, but other than that, this truly was original and fine! The cover was very misleading tho, I hoped this would be a Christmas story, so that was kind of disappointing. I will be checking out other books from this author.
