Hmmmm... I have a feeling that the next book isn't going to be a standalone book anymore.

Let's see. Yuri was, as usual, hot and very sweet. I really, really enjoy the guys here, because well, they're sweet as sugar and sexy as sin at the same time. This one was no exception. He treated Lena like she deserved to be treated.

Why is it not a 5 star? Maybe because Dimitri set the bar too high up and Yuri didn't reach it. It seemed a (teensey) bit lackluster compared to Dimitri. And Lena just didn't have the same punch in comparison to Benny.

Three books into the Russian protector series I feel like I should refresh my Russian language.
They were a grand read, but tended to get a bit repetitive in the sense on- she's in trouble, he's the one with money and connections and the undying love. Ah... I must say, I will read the 4th book about Nikolai, because I think the build up to his story has been pretty good.

Yuri’s book follows the story of him and Lena. Lena is a PR rep that is fighting with her biggest client. She eventually quits and winds up looking to start a new business. She ends up with Yuri, who has been trying to date her for months. Lena’s cousin gets into major trouble, and it eventually comes back to her. While trying to meet a ransom demand for her father, Yuri finds out someone else is gunning for him by going after Lena. This particular path of the story line helps you learn more about the brothers’ history together in the orphanage, in particular Nikolai. Once again all the brothers and the girls pull together to help each other. Again, a lot of sex scenes, but not too bad. I had a harder time relating to the characters, but that is me.

3.5 stars.
I enjoyed this one despite the lack of emotional tug. There was more humor and playfulness in this story. There was enough plot that I didn't feel that the sex overshadowed it.
I liked the dog the best.

Lena has fought her way to live life on the straight and narrow, after growing up with a father who had a revolving door to prison and a family of crooks, she knew she wanted no part of it. When her job as a PR is sabotaged, she believes she knows who is behind it, Yuri.

Russian billionaire Yuri has wanted Lena since the moment he met her. When she storms in ready to raise holy hell, he quickly handles it and gets her to agree to a date. A rocky start leads to a boggled burglary that puts Lena at risk. Yuri knows she is the one, but Lena is not used to trusting anyone, let alone Yuri. Yuri decides to prove to Lena he is worth the trust knowing he will never let her go.

This was a super fun read, not sure why I did not discover it earlier. Yuri is dangerous but also head over heels for Lena. I liked that the story had some intense moments and then it would have a bit of humor that completely catches you off guard. Picking up the rest of the series.
