**I received this as an ARC**

Overall this was a fantastic book. The characters were written well, and the spicy scenes were pretty hot. However, I am left with a few questions. I feel like there was an important part that happened at the end that I don't remember getting an answer to, and that is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Other than that, the story itself is great.

“There’s just something about a bad guy who’s morally gray and has a way with words that makes you have to change your panties.”

✮✮✮✮✮

Devyn, an Uber driver, picks up two businessmen for their ride. She ends up chauffeuring them around the whole night, and starts asking questions. Leaving a lot of questions unanswered, she spots them in her rear view mirror disappearing down a side alley rather than into the club she just dropped them at. Curiosity gets the better of her and she follows, getting herself lost in a realm full of monsters. But her monstrous captors stake their claim on her and make her theirs. They are terrifying and irresistibly sexy.

I inhaled this book! I loved the storyline, I loved the characters, and the relationships developed, and more than anything I loved the SMUTT. They were drip worthy scenes! Corr! However, I don’t like the fact this is a standalone novel, I need more! Bring out a sequel please? I need more Rafe in my life! That is something I could absolutely get behind.

When R.K. Pierce approached me and asked me to review this book for her, I was not expecting this, I think she really underplayed just how spicy it was. It’s extremely well written, and she really has done an incredible job! Smutt can be repetitive but this was on a new level.

If you need a read to inhale, and want some spicyness in your next read, get on and preorder this now!

Demons and monsters and warlocks, oh my!

Warnings:
#1) Be there monsters here: and demons and warlocks and hybrid creatures.
#2) Don't be a prude: all the boudoir steam and no fade-to-black; reverse harem/why choose? Only MF scenes.
#3) HEA...kinda.
#4) 1st person POV; alternating chapters.
#5) Maybe a cliffhanger...?

So Devyn gets herself into quite the predicament when she follows two hot guys through a magical hole in a wall. I mean, obviously it's not going to end up quite so well. Or you could be lucky like Devyn and find yourself mated to some serious hunks! That wouldn't be the way my tale ends up, but hey...I'm not the main character here.

Sure there's fighting with the local hybrid monsters who want to capture the human, but that's nothing to worry about when your mates are stronger.

This book does end with several key plot points unresolved, but since the title includes the phrase "Part 1", I'm hoping those issues will be resolved in future books.

I received this book as an ARC in return for an honest review.

I do not like the main female character. She seems vastly unrealistic. I don’t see any woman who drives Uber in a big city feeling unsafe with two large male passengers one moment and then wanting their number and to hook up the next. This is the theme of her. Each time something is dangerous or a strong emotion is felt she is over it instantly.

The perspective from the males was better written and more interesting. They had set needs, goals, hopes and desires that they were working toward. When something was against those things it took real thought and processing to move past.

While there is light flirting with more than one male, the only thing close to reverse harem for the first 75% of the book is a bit of voyeurism. Then the third male is brought in at roughly 95% of the book.

The ending was completely unfulfilling. The set up and world building had me hooked and I was expecting a cliffhanger of some sort. Instead we end with an epilogue with everything magically being cleaned up so that the dangers of the outside world are gone.

I’ve rated this a generous 3/5 stars because the male characters were interesting, the world well designed and something I would have read more of. The spice levels were good. However the main female character was fickle, and the ending was wrapped up like a television show that was unexpectedly cancelled early.

I’ve been on a monster kick lately and this RH was so fun and quick to read. I had a really hard time putting it down and only gave up when my eyelids gave out. The world building and character development were amazingly written. Although the ending felt slightly rushed, it was super fun getting to know the monster world and I’m definitely gonna need more (don’t worry I already begged her for more with these characters). The spicy scenes were
