Overall this was a fun, quick, cute contemporary read. I actually liked the non-romance elements more than I liked the romance. I liked the side characters a lot, and seeing Laura explore her family history and learn about herself. I think that part of the story is something so many people can relate to. The romance felt rushed and quick, however. Especially the end, though that may be the vibe the author was going for.

My edition of the book had several typos. There were some comments in the book around weight/looks that I didn't like or think were healthy.

This is such a sweet British Romcom that will give you all the feels. There are many themes of self discovery, found family, overcoming grief, and accepting that live isn’t always picture perfect. This story was so heartfelt and I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend if you love romcoms!!

This was rather cute but far too slow for me. I liked who the female lead ended up with - he was the best character in the book for me. There was a lot of random discussion of feminism shoehorned in which actually broke me out of the story as it was so unexpected.
