There are a lot of content warnings, so take care of yourself. But this was such an important book to read. Male SA is so stigmatized and not really discussed, and SA is a problem that affects us all. We all need to be kind to one another about the topic, regardless of gender, sexuality, and circumstances surrounding the event.

This is a heavy, complex book. What I really appreciate is the diversity of the chapters, how it’s a series of tweets, headlines, DMs, dialogue, transcripts, the list goes on.
Again, VERY heavy and upsetting. But an interesting concept.

super easy quick read and insightful in the sense that it gives men who are victims of SA a platform but i wasn’t a big fan of the poetry or the ending.

There's no way I could put a numerical rating to this one. This was a tough read, but one that I'm glad I picked up. It will definitely be one I think about for a long time.

What the actual f*ck was that?

This book made my stomach physically hurt and it was genuinely distressing so many times. There was no point in which I said to myself, “I know exactly where this is going.”

With each new part, I was wondering if I was supposed to be entertained or introspective or confused. Really the only thing I was able to piece together was the profound bits that made me go “wow, that is absolutely some real life sh*t women deal with on a daily basis,” and I know that’s really the point here. Men don’t deal with the same scary things that women do and aren’t forced to face the public and their criticisms if they want any justice for the crimes done to them. This is an alternative view of this world ( a really weirdly written one).
