Perfect summer reading and activity for young mermaid fans. Fun read-aloud, and I love the bright, engaging illustrations! Includes fascinating mermaid lore (I learned things I didn't know, too) plus instructions on how to make a mermaid crown. For those who don't live near a beach, the book encourages young readers to adorn their paper crowns with other craft items found at home. "Your choices are as deep as the ocean.
