At the start of this book we find out that some sort of major incident involving a gun has occurred in a secondary school. We then go back in time and follow multiple perspectives from characters who are somehow linked to this event.

I thought the writing was really well done and the characters were all very fleshed out. I enjoyed some of the perspectives more than others. I found Dominic a really interesting character and loved those chapters. Some of the others though, particularly the two mothers we follow, were less intriguing to me and a I found myself feeling bored during a lot of their sections of the book.

The ending had a couple of good twists and everything was wrapped up in a pretty bow. However I can’t say that I feel much upon finishing this and I don’t think it will be a stand out read for me. Overall an average read with just enough interesting parts to keep me reading to the end.

This is not my first book by this author but it ranks up there as one of my favorites. This is a suspenseful story that pulled me into the story from the beginning. It is a well written story about what happens when your current and past collide with a raging force. The characters bring the story to life and also give it a realistic feel. They are connectable and made the story fun and entertaining to read. Who would expect what would happen with just one move. Kate and her family are about to find out what chain events this moved has caused. This is a story I really enjoyed and would highly recommend.
