This was such a feel good, Hallmark type book! Cute little holiday read
funny lighthearted fast-paced

This was a nice little Christmas read. I liked the characters and the holiday setting. The story was a bit bland but besides that, it was a decent read.

I got through 80 pages and simply couldn’t continue. This was book was worse than formulaic and to compare it to a Hallmark movie is an insult to Hallmark in my opinion. Nothing in this was left to the imagination; every action, moment, and scene was spelled out down to the color of the cheese. And I’m sorry but who says a $79 bottle of wine tasting like a $30 bottle is both a steal and a good thing? That makes zero sense. And don’t even get me started on the editing mistakes; whoever let this get through as a final product deserves to be sanctioned because it’s riddled with mistakes.

Overall, this was a boring disappointing story with almost nothing interesting happening below the surface no matter how much the author tried. Absolutely do not recommend and couldn’t finish.

I don’t normally read Christmas books until after Thanksgiving, but when I was offered the chance to read Pamela Kelley’s next Cape Cod book, I jumped at the chance. Riley’s job as a content marketer, and fears of being replaced by AI, hit home for me, because it’s what I do for a living. Watching her jump in to help run the family inn after her mother’s injury, and use her marketing skills to help increase business, was interesting on a personal level. Following her interactions with the guests, including her old high school sweetheart and his son, was the feel-good experience I expect from a Christmas book.

This book was a Christmas cheery, cozy 5 stars for me. Pamela Kelley where has your cozy hallmark vibes books been my whole life?

The Christmas Inn follows three ladies and their POVs through the holiday season. Franny is in town after the death of her sister and on a cute adventure, following four letters her sister left her. Beth owns the B&B and needs a little help from her daughter Riley to give the inn and her mother’s love life a little spirit. Riley finds herself torn between coming home and staying or going back to the big city and her big shot lawyer boyfriend.

This book is all things the Christmas spirit brings: family, friends, love, community and hope. I feel cheesy writing this but it truly was a Hallmark movie in a book and I love every minute of it.

I want to go stay at The Christmas Inn and do the wine and cheese hour. I want to visit the local bookstore and the wine and cheese shop.

Pick this up if you want a cute, cozy Christmas vibes read.

Thank you MacMillian Audio and NetGalley for this advanced reader copy.

A feel good story of new love, new friendships, and new beginnings -- all taking place during the holidays in a quaint Massachusetts seaside town. A nice read to kick off the Christmas season!
