“No one ever fully shed their teenage selves, did they? No matter how much you grew up, your old anxieties and insecurities would always be there, knitted into the fabric of your being.”

This entire series has been consistently mediocre but am I still going to read the next one? Yes.

I'll probably keep up with the series, but hopefully the next is a bit better. This one felt like a bridge, just a way to arrive at the end, the cliffhanger that should make for a good read in the next book.

I cannot get enough of this series, of these characters, or of Katharine McGee’s writing.

This may be the best book in the series yet, and as usual, I cried, I cheered, and find myself desperately hoping for more, which it looks like we may get based on the ending.

True to McGee’s format so far, questions were answered from the previous book (Majesty: American Royals II) and she dove deeper on topics like race.

Fans of McGee’s will love this, fans of anything royal will love this, and I highly recommend that if you haven’t read any of the American Royals series, you pick up all three books.

**Many thanks to #NetGalley and #RandomHouse for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are my own.**

Wow, I am glad there was more character development in this book, but was disappointed in the ending. Hoping there is another book in the series to come to help tie up loose ends.
