It's not the most notable young adult thriller but I had a good reading experience. I did not see the twists coming and enjoyed the characters. I enjoyed the audiobook!

This book was fun, easy to read and kept my attention. I don't normally read books for entertainment, it was nice to take the time to read a piece of fiction.

“Missing girls don’t come home in Echo Ridge.”

No one knows this to be truer than Ellery and her family. Her aunt disappeared without a trace when she was 17, sending a ripple through this quiet community. As quaint as this small-town seems to be, it has its secrets. It’s not until Ellery, and her brother, Ezra, are forced to move there to live with their grandmother do they realize how dark the town’s past really is. It seems everyone is hiding something, and those that know too much end up missing - bc two can keep a secret, if one of them is dead.

This was such a fun little “who done it”! I’ve been in a reading slump the past few weeks, and I feel like this pulled me right out. It’s super fast paced, with an engaging plot. The twists were shocking and believable. I was clutching my pearls at the end bc I honestly didn’t see it coming! Overall, it’s a good, easy read!

The final 15 seconds of this book gave me chills. That's worth at least a 4, if not a 5.

I was really curious about this book because after I enjoyed McManus' debut so much I wanted to know if this one would be as good.
I liked her new book, the story is exciting and the characters are really likeable, so it was a nice experience. I also couldn't solve the case (which I did in her first book) which made it more surprising for me and the last sentence - Oh boy that was something I really didn't expect!
