Man… this was a weird one. I was SO into it at first. The concepts were explained very well and the scary aspects were fantastic. The style had aspects of the creepypasta-esque writing of SCP stories without becoming too obnoxious. I’m pretty hard to scare these days but the section about Alastair Grey actually had me shuddering.

But it just kind of derailed maybe 2/3 of the way through and became so much less concrete, for lack of a better way to put it? It was impossible to tell what was going on in the final conflict so I felt pretty damn let down. It’s like when an ARG gets way too weird and borderline incomprehensible after a cool start. But the beginning and the style were just so good I can’t rate it any less than 4 stars.
