I’ve read a handful of Ruth Ware books and they all seem to fall short. The predictability of this book… within the first 50 pages, I knew what was coming.

It was a fine story but I’m not going to be recommending it any time soon. There is so much potential for her novels, but I feel that she is just missing the mark, every. single. time.

One good thing about not reading for ages is that all my favourite authors have new releases! Ruth Ware is an auto-read author for me. Easy writing style and captivating storylines. This one is a closed room murder mystery set in an exclusive ski chalet during an avalanche disaster. The dual perspectives were written really well. I just didn’t get that thrilling rush and shock factor to make it a five star read for me.
