Fun twist on the Mycroft Holmes character, here as a young man. Disappointed in how man-centric it was, even though there was potential in the Miss Adler character for so much more. Pulling in devices from other period stories might bring me back for more when the next volume is released.

4/5 amusing story, steampunk-Holmes universe. Mycroft is an interesting character, but a little too much over-sexed rogue (to contrast Sherlock’s almost asexuality) for my liking.

A wild west adventure featuring the less featured Holmes brother, Mycroft.

Two things drew me to this book: the author (I had no idea he wrote fiction; no idea who the other author was) and the title (always been a fan of the Holmes bros). The beginning was very entertaining such that I started to forget who wrote it and just enjoyed the prose. The middle fumbled and by the end I just wanted to get through it.
