I'm so torn on this book. It was beautifully written and wrapped up but… I just almost wish it had ended a little bit differently.

Although it was much different than I thought it would be, Out of Breath is a great ending to a wonderful series. I'll sincerely miss Evan Mathews.

The third and final installment of the Breathing series.I stayed up until 1:00 in the morning to finish! One of the things I loved most about this book was the subtle way Donovan snuck in the changing point of view midway. It was a breath of fresh air to "hear" what Evan was thinking and feeling. I can't say too much without giving anything away but this book is set two years after Emma have left Weslyn for Stanford. It's obvious that she is not the person she used to be and has to work through a lot to become whole again. There definitely were parts of the story that disturbed me, like when Emma was relying too heavily on vodka, but I was glad to witness her evolution. From start to finish this series was compelling, beautifully developed abd written.I'm very glad I had access to all three books at once and didn't have to wait for each to come out individually!

Just to start off I don't usually write reviews on books but this novel was too well-written to not be talked about. Emma is still struggling with her past and how it skewed her perception of the people around her. Unfortunately she turns to alcohol to numb the pain and heartache she feels from leaving Evan. Just when you think things can't get any worse they do. As Emma's past creeps up on her it drags her down with it. I found myself always rooting for Emma and her future. Sara and Emma's friendship is so strong #friendshipgoals and helps Emma get through her tough time. This book was very intriguing and a fantastic finish to a great series. My only con for this book is that Evan's POV is added and during chapters the book switches between Evan and Emma's POV which I thought was kind of annoying, but not annoying enough for me to give it any less than 5 stars. This series had me emotionally invested from start to finish and is quality writing from Rebecca Donovan.

It was good to see how things ended. This series was heartbreaking. I would have liked to have seen a longer ending. More time of them together or as Emma more put together and not so broken. Each book was very different and what a terrible life she lived. It was a tough one to get through.

Engaging

I never leave reviews but I was instantly hooked. Emma's life is such an emotional roller coaster! She wears so many faces throughout the storyline. I find she's constantly seeing the good in everyone but herself.

The story was developed really well and all my questions were answered in the end. I honestly wanted the story to keep going ! But the ending was still great
